1913-20s Brass Comet

I’m not sure about when the Comet lantern was first produced. Its first appearance in advertising was in the late teens, however I suspect it was actually around 1913. I’ll update when I can find out for sure. The Comet was ETW’s hot blast lantern line until E.T. Wright & Co was bought out.

ETW Comets were made in brass. Sadly, often times those are cracked, as brass is fragile and prone to ‘stress cracking’. This one, although it needed a polish when I took these photos, is near flawless.
