Hobbs Gold Medal No.3 (E.T. Wright)

This lantern was made by E.T. Wright for Hobbs Hardware. Hobbs used the trade name “Gold Medal”. The best thing about this lantern by far is the Beacon logo on a Wright lantern. It’s not quite a Beacon logo and it has the Gold Medal name on it, but it’s definitely supposed to imitate the Beacon logo. Another oddity is the E.T. Wright name is still on the lantern. Most times with jobbed lanterns, the names of the original manufacturer is removed, yet not with this lantern. Not something normally seen on a Wright lantern. I wonder how they felt about making these.
